I’ve always been drawn to the vibrant, action-packed world of Firefall. As a personal project, I took on the challenge of redesigning its Heads-Up Display (HUD). While the original HUD does a good job of centralizing information, I saw an opportunity to modernize its style and dramatically improve its clarity for the game's fast-paced combat.
My process began with breaking down the essential HUD elements from the original. I started with a clean wireframe to focus purely on layout and spacing. This stage was crucial for separating the abilities from the health and energy bars, giving each element its own space to breathe while keeping them grouped logically in the central "combat cluster."
