Design & Core Mechanics
The primary design goal was to create an 'easy to learn, difficult to master' experience centered on one-touch input.
Vertical Climber Mechanic: The core loop required players to navigate a rising screen by jumping between two vertical spiked columns. This simple mechanic provided an immediate sense of urgency and platforming challenge.
Progressive Difficulty: Level generation utilized carefully tuned procedural systems to scale difficulty seamlessly. This ensured that, as the player's score increased, the density of hazards, enemy speed, and platform complexity intensified.
Visual Communication: Distinct, vibrant color palettes were used to clearly delineate different environmental "zones" (e.g., Fiery Red, Cosmic Purple, Toxic Green), serving as visual milestones for the player and resetting the aesthetic mood for the next wave of challenges.
